Max Verstappen claimed victory for Red Bull at the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2026, held on 11 October at the Marina Bay Street Circuit in Singapore, to take Round 17 of the 2026 Formula One World Championship. The Dutchman converted his pole position into a commanding race win, crossing the line in a total time of one hour, 42 minutes and 0.785 seconds. Charles Leclerc brought his Ferrari home in second place, 7.335 seconds adrift, with Andrea Kimi Antonelli completing the podium for Mercedes a further 17.238 seconds behind. It was Verstappen’s first Singapore Grand Prix victory and Red Bull’s first at the circuit since 2022.

Verstappen led from the front throughout, having secured pole position ahead of Ferrari teammates Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton. Leclerc set the fastest lap of the race, though this carries no additional championship points under current regulations. The most eye-catching drive of the afternoon came from George Russell, who recovered from 19th on the grid to claim ninth place, gaining ten positions across the course of the race. Isack Hadjar was equally impressive, advancing from 22nd on the grid to tenth, the largest single gain in the field. Hamilton, who had started third, slipped to sixth by the chequered flag, with Antonelli and Lando Norris both passing him during the race. Nico Hülkenberg rounded out the points for Audi in eighth, having started tenth.

Lando Norris was the highest-finishing British driver on the day, taking fourth place for McLaren having started fifth. The result represented a solid points haul for Norris, who crossed the line 40.506 seconds behind Verstappen. Hamilton, starting from third on the grid, ultimately finished sixth, while Russell’s recovery drive from 19th to ninth was among the more notable performances of the afternoon for British interests.

In the Drivers’ Championship, Andrea Kimi Antonelli retains the lead on 340 points following his podium finish, with George Russell second on 238 points — a gap of 102 points between the two Mercedes drivers. Hamilton moves to third on 229 points, while Verstappen’s victory lifts him to fourth on 221 points, with Leclerc fifth on 215. In the Constructors’ Championship, Mercedes continue to lead on 578 points, with Ferrari second on 444 and McLaren third on 339. Red Bull sit fourth on 332 points, closing the gap to McLaren slightly following Verstappen’s maximum haul of 25 points in Singapore.
